Jori Pollard Carns

Owner

Jori Pollard Carns has been training dogs with Sit Means Sit Dog Training since 2008. She is a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. She loves the sport of Dock Dogs and enjoys spending time with her six Dogs. She and her husband Sam are spending time between Colorado, New Mexico, and East Texas.

We have recently added to Frenchie puppies to the family: Ricky and Lucy! They are tons of fun and snorts!

One of her greatest pleasures at work is enhancing the lives of the dogs in the program. It is so much fun when a dog realizes the confidence and the freedom they have with our training program.

Jed was her business partner since the beginning of Sit Means Sit in 2008-2020. He passed away in 2022. He will always be the “founder” of the company. He was a Black Lab who loves the tennis ball and fetch is his favorite game. He loved his job and enjoyed the spotlight. You might call him a “show off”. He was retired, enjoying just hanging out resting and enjoying the sun!

Scarlett was the strong independent female of the group. She was passionate about the sport of dock diving. She also passed away in 2022.

Shadow is the young man of the group. He is a Dutch Shepard who is full of energy and lots of hops! Shadow is the main man, these days. He loves to swim and play fetch.

Andrea Fisher

Manager & Head Trainer

Andrea has been training dogs at Sit Means Sit since 2016. She is a Certified Sit Means Sit Trainer, AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, K9 Caring Angels Therapy Dog Instructor & Evaluator, as well as certified in Canine first aid and CPR. Prior to being a trainer with Sit Means Sit, she was a Veterinary Technician, working locally at Veterinary clinics since 1993. Although the veterinary tech work is rewarding and interesting, working with solely dogs is her true passion and training dogs has been a dream come true.

She finds that training dogs is not only fun and challenging, but also very rewarding in so many ways. It is always such a joy to see dogs and their owner’s relationship become stronger and happier after they go through training together. She has seen many success stories in her 7+ years at Sit Means Sit, and it is a such an honor to be a part of it all. One of the most rewarding parts of training dogs has been getting to be part of the Therapy Dog Team. Working closely with the community is always enjoyable and she is excited for what the future holds.

Andrea has 4 dogs who have all been trained by Sit Means Sit, 2 of which are her business partners.

Landry is a 6 year old Belgian Malinois mix, and has been Andrea’s business partner for 5 years. In addition to being Andrea’s best friend and companion, Landry helps with the evaluations for new dogs and is a K9 Caring Angels Therapy Dog. She is one of the main faces you will see at our facility and out in the community. She loves meeting new people and getting as many belly rubs as possible!

Diggs is a 1 year old Belgian Malinois, who came to Andrea from a rescue in El Paso, Texas. Diggs has been working as Andrea’s business partner for 6 months and it is exciting to watch her learn and discover all of her talents! She is a fun one for sure! Andrea looks forward to continue working with her and watch her grow and learn.

Andrea loves spending time with 5 her children, who range in age from 27-14 years old, and 2 grandkids who bring so much joy to her! She also enjoys watching Dallas Cowboys football, listening to music, going to concerts, being outdoors, and of course training her dogs!

Felicia came to Sit Means Sit two and a half years ago with several years of experience working with and caring for dogs. She started off as a Kennel Tech and then became a Trainer. She is a certified Sit Means Sit Trainer, having gone through the Sit Means Sit Trainer program in Las Vegas, NV. Not only did she excel at it but enjoyed it, and Felicia brought back knowledge that she shared with the rest of the team and our clients. She is now the Assistant Manager, and is one of the cheerful, helpful faces you will see daily at our facility! Felicia is certified in Canine First Aid and CPR. She enjoys working with all ages, breeds, and temperaments, especially the ones with aggression and the less confident dogs. She’s eager to continue learning and excelling in this profession. On her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her son Miles and her handsome dog Brody!

Cristian Reyes

Trainer

Cristian came to us in 2023, he started as a Kennel Tech and within a short period of time we saw the energy, positivity, and potential, and he moved up to Trainer in less than two months of being with us. He believes that hard work and dedication is fundamental for everything and that’s exactly what he brings when he comes to work. Cristian also loves going above and beyond for the clients and co workers, but especially the dogs. He is very eager to learn and pursue new things to further his knowledge and career at Sit Means Sit. He enjoys learning new things and incorporating them to teach clients what methods work best for their dogs. Cristian is always eager for challenges especially when he comes across aggressive and stubborn dogs. No challenge is too big and he will work to solve the problem. Cristian owns two dogs, Tootsie and George, who he loves spending time with and taking on walks and hikes.
