Our mission is simple: to build confident dogs and happy owners through positive reinforcement and proven techniques. At Sit Means Sit, we don’t just train dogs—we foster stronger bonds and create happier homes.
Jori has been training dogs with Sit Means Sit since 2008 and is a certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. She and her husband Sam divide their time between Colorado, New Mexico, and East Texas, sharing their lives with six dogs—including two lively Frenchie puppies, Ricky and Lucy.
Jori’s true passion is helping dogs build confidence and enjoy greater freedom through training. Seeing that transformation is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.
Her longtime companion and business partner, Jed—a Black Lab and the original “founder” of the business—was famous for his love of fetch and playful showmanship. Scarlett, the fearless dock diving champion, also made a lasting impact in those early years. Though both passed away in 2022, their legacy continues to inspire Jori.
Today, Shadow, a spirited Dutch Shepherd, leads the pack. Always ready for a swim or a game of fetch, he embodies the energy and heart of Sit Means Sit.
